Natalie Goodman Textile Artist

I began creating detailed freehand machine embroideries in 2017 as a way to relax after work. I am now a full time artist, with time to fully explore my art and develop new work and techniques. 

Drawing on inspiration from nature, walking in Northumberland and other wild places across the UK. I constantly take photographs and sketch to record the changing light and seasons, which I use as inspiration for my work.

I use a wide range of techniques, mixing stitch with silk painting, dyeing, felt work, quilting, and eco printing. My wide-ranging palette of threads of every type and shade allows me to stitch in the minute details and create highly detailed work.
